Mission

God has called us to love thy neighbor.
We seek to listen to that calling,

knowing there are many in need
locally, nationally, and globally.

Feeding the Hungry
In the Baker 5J School District, over 57% of the students enrolled participate in the federal free/reduced price lunch program. These children are at risk for hunger and many families struggle to provide the nutrition children need to thrive. Food insecurity has a marked impact on children's health and academic progress. Many children come to school distracted by their empty stomachs and are unable to focus on doing well in school. Our church supports three mission projects to help address these issues:

Open Door
Baker City Backpack Program
Bread of Life Food Bank

Donations for these projects can be mailed to the church, dropped in the weekly offering plate, or made using the corresponding PayPal "donate" buttons through the links shown above.

Other Projects
  • Monthly, volunteers help serve lunch at Community Connections and load boxes at the Bread of Life Food Bank.
  • Alcoholics Anonymous and Al-Anon recovery groups meet at the church each week. We believe in creating spaces of grace to cultivate hope, healing and purpose.
